Linear modules are important precision machine tool components. In normal use, correct operation is required to prevent some abnormal wear and tear, to ensure the speed, accuracy and service life of linear slide modules. If daily maintenance can be done well, the slide table can maintain its good performance for a long time, prolong its service life, and find and eliminate hidden troubles in time. Especially when the linear slide module is not used for a long time, pay more attention to the usual maintenance.

When the linear slide module is not used for a long time, if you do not pay attention to maintenance, when it is used suddenly, the accuracy and speed may be reduced due to corrosion and rust, etc., the linear module's life will be shortened or other failures. The usual maintenance includes the following aspects:

1. If the motor used with the linear slide module is a DC motor, the brushes must be removed from the DC motor when it is disabled to avoid damage to the commutator due to chemical corrosion, which will reduce the performance of the linear module or even the entire module. The slider module does not work properly.

2. Power on the linear slide module regularly, especially during the rainy season or in an environment with high humidity. When the motor is not running, that is, the machine is locked, let it run dry, and use the heating principle of electrical components to dissipate the moisture in the linear module to ensure its stability and reliability. The characteristics of the linear module and the constant power supply can ensure the charging demand of the backup battery, but the battery voltage needs to be checked frequently. If it is too low, it must be replaced immediately to prevent data loss caused by power failure.

3. Regularly use anti-rust oil and lubrication for the deactivated linear slide module to prevent rust or corrosion and avoid failure during use.
